I've just noticed that I have no splash shield. I assume there should be one but all I can find online is for the USA model. I am finding this with a lot of things, it seems very difficult to find videos etc for the UK model.

    No splash shield on our Fusion - but I thought it was fitted on cars purely to reduce drive-by noise ?

    Although as we have a Fiesta and a Fusion with the same 1.6 petrol engine, the Fiesta engine compartment stays a lot cleaner than the Fusion !

    Small petrol engines didn't often get the shield over here.  It was mainly used for the diesels to create slightly better aerodynamics to get them into a cheaper CO2 based tax band.
