No power

Featured Replies

Hi guys, 2019 focus 1.0 st line ecoboost has a 🔧 coming up on dashboard and losing power as if going into limp mode. Only bought the car in September and put it back in and had the boost box replaced. 2 months later and the same issue has returned. Any advice would be appreciated.

If it were mine, I'd have it straight back to the garage and get them to fix it under warranty, as is your right to do so.

Thanks Unofix. Only bought the car from Arnold Clark in September and they have had it back, that is when they changed the box replaced. They only give a 60 day warranty but i will contact them tomorrow. If they have fitted a new part it must come with a manufacturers warranty.

If you only bought the car in September you are still covered by Consumer Rights legislation. Plenty of info on line eg:

If this is the same fault again then it is still covered by the warranty because the previous repair has failed.

Also as has already been said by Roger, the consumer rights legislation covers you for any fault that must have been present at the time of sale for a full 6 months.
