Hi all, out of interest can the age of this  battery be determined from what is on these 2 labels, no other numbers are on it.

Its off a 2011 Fiesta ,  battery died so fitted a newbie, wondered if it was the original maybe as it had the Ford label on.

Thanks for any info.

    The battery will very likely have an age stamp somewhere on it - possibly stamped onto the top of the negative/positive terminal or etched somewhere on the casing. 
     

    Would be of the format ww/yy for week number and last 2 digits of the year

    Was thinking it was the original as it was a Ford lable, or can you buy Ford factory branded battery 🤔

    Yes it will be the original factory fitted battery. It is Silver Calcium which haven't been available for at least 10 years.

    My 2008 Focus had a 2010 Ford battery on it when I got it.  Presumably replaced under warranty.

    The date was stamped in the case so hard to see unless you really look for it.

    Hi Tom, as did not have time to shop around i just used my local car spares outlet , they only had this in stock  ready charged @£60 with vat & fitting .
