New battery in Focus mk3 2016 1.0 ecoboost

Featured Replies

My little focus does not have the Start/Stop button.

Do I still need to go through the rear fog light/hazard light dance to reset the BMS?

Thank you

Are you sure it doesn't have stop start?  I thought all the 1.0EBs did in Mk3.5.

Check whether you have a BMS on the negative cable.  If you do then it'll still use variable charging and should still be reset, even without stop start.

Yes it needs reset if you replace the battery.

BMS is not part of the Stop/Start system although it is one of the parameters that S/S uses.
