Hi soot in oil

Featured Replies

Is this something I should be worried about

My dpf keeps coming on and starts cleaning and doesn't complete the clean

Some soot in the oil is to be expected on a diesel, but if it keeps failing regens it'll be thinning out the oil with unburnt diesel as well.  Need to find out why it's not completing regens.

Are you not letting it finish the regen?

Change the oil and filter

Iam in the process of handing the car back

It's a long hard process

I paid to get a independent inspection done by scotcia and flagged up a few things with it

The garage has went radio silent on me the finance company is even harder to get incontact with

Iam not letting the car go back to the garage as everytime it goes in comes out with more issues than it started with

And they have been tampering about with or swapped my middle seatbelt out with another one

I hope you get sorted👍

Me to took a copy of tge report to the garage and its changed hands to another dealership

I had a 2019 MK4 1.5 Ecoblue, albeit without ADblue and it never failed to regen

I just seem to get the duff cars

Mines fails to do it

I just bought a launch diagnostic said my dpf was at 89% soot level and forced it to do a regen hopefully stays down  for a bit

Maybe set yourself up on FORScan to do it once a month

You may need the software updated in the PCM
