Ford Fucs Reverse Sensor Buzzer

Featured Replies

hi All

is this meant to be really quiet I  have to turn everything down to hear it as I can only just hear it, Just wandered if this is normal

Genuine reverse sensors use the car speakers.  If there's a speaker fault or low battery then it just uses a small speaker in the dash.  If it's aftermarket kit then it'll generally use a standalone speaker in the boot.

Fully charge the 12v battery.

It won't be knackered if it still starts the car.  Just some features are heavily reliant on a high level of battery charge.  I wouldn't spend money on replacing it unless there are other symptoms as well.

is there anyway my reserve sensors could not be standard? my sensors are definitely ford and are colour coded into the bumper but my buzzer sound is coming from the boot. my battery level is 12.5v is this charged enough? I assumed it would come from my speakers. thought becasue I have ST-Line it would have them as standard

Yes, it sounds like those are dealership fitted, not factory fitted.  Usually made by Xtrons or Xvision.

ST-Line is just the midrange spec.  I wouldn't expect the sensors to be standard on that model.

Battery level is perfect, but no longer relevant if the sensors aren't factory fitted.

I'm not sure if there's any volume control for the standalone boot buzzer unfortunately.

Yes, that's right.  Sadly these ones can't be connected to the Sync system.

Quite a few members on here have retrofitted the reverse camera so they may be able to advise on that.
