Transmission Malfunction warning message

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Having trouble starting my 2009/10 uk ford focus automatic, thought the battery was cold or flat due to very cold temperatures overnight, but even after it had thawed out there is no life in it.

The dash either displays select Neutral or transmission malfunction.

The car had been fine up until the cold weather, has anyone had a similar problem?

The battery won't come back to life if the cold weather has killed it.  Sounds like it just needs replacing.  You can confirm that by checking voltage with a multimeter.

Very sad, sounds like Starmer's lack of heating allowance has claimed another life !! 😉
