Brake light only works when headlights off

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am currently having an issue with the left brake light in my 2011 Ford Fiesta.

When my headlights are off then my brake lights work albeit weakly. When my headlights are on and I brake my left light goes out completely but my right works normally.

I replaced the bulb with a Halfords 380 P21/5W.

Any advice is appreciated.

Replace the other brake light bulb, it has a short between the tail light filament and the bake filament.

Also check the earth of the left cluster

You've put the wrong bulbs in the wrong way round, side light power is going to the brake light filament.

Fit the correct bulbs
