Hi all. Having an issue with my front interior light. It stays on after the car has started with all doors closed (even if the switch is in the off position when getting on the car). The rear interior lights act as they should but the front 1 I have to flick the switch from off to auto and back to off again. Basically the front light comes on when you get on the car but stays on and has to be turned off manually. So it comes on even if I always leave the switch in the off position. Help!!!

    If it's a Mk4 then it's either the BCM software needs updating or the BCM is faulty

    Is that something a normal machanic can spot with a diagnostic or does it need to go to a specialist?
