Quick clear windscreen help

Featured Replies

Does anyone know why my quickclear windscreen is like this? I've read lots of things about fuses etc, but all the fuses in the engine bay and in the glove compartment are fine. I have checked and replaced the neccesary ones. The passenger side of the windscreen works flawlessly, however as pictured only certain stripes on the drivers side don't work. Even when demisting the windscreen on a cold rainy day results in stripes right where I am looking.

(To be clear, this isn't me being impatient, this is after a good few minutes of waiting)

It's broken.  Only fix is a new screen.

Yep, that sure is one dead screen 🙁

Time to open the wallet and get a new one.

This is quite common as they age. I've had a couple of screens go like this. The little wires that run vertically inside the screen and do the heating gradually break one by one over the years.

Now, it would be such a shame if a stone hit it, and broke it. Then the burden would be on your insurance policy...😁

They should probably use boiling water straight out of the kettle for now too, if the elements aren't defrosting.
