Fiesta has a flat spot

Featured Replies

Anyone got any advice on this. At 4000rpm I have a flat spot when looking at live data the map and maf pressures both drop off at that point. Photos attached

Sorry but the key word is "remapped" as, to me, that could easily be the problem needing whoever remapped it to check their work by testing on rolling road if that was how it was done?

Engine looks cold - does it change when it's up to temperature?

How can MAF drop (if reading correct) unless something is restricting the induction or turbo control is incorrect?

What about other live data like fuel pressures etc?

Just guesses!

Good Luck on your next MOT with those parts mapped out which must include a massive change to the programming? (but that's just me)

My advice? Put it back to how it was.

Looks like a bad remap to me too.

232kPa is about 34psi.  That seems high to me and the PCM may be cutting boost at that point as a safety measure.  Do you know what the standard boost was before the remap?
