Galaxy air intake removal

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am hoping to replace the fuel pump on my 2006 Mk2 galaxy 2.0TDCI - which I have owned from new. I have reached an impasse when trying to remove the plastic pipe (highlighted in red in the picture) that goes between the air filter box and behind the back of the engine passing close to the high pressure fuel pump.
Anyone know what is holding it in place behind the engine and how to get at it?
I have removed the windscreen wiper plastic panel to give more access but can’t see or feel how it is secured (I need to buy a mirror!).

any advice would be very welcome,

Graham

That pipe is likely to be one solid pipe all the way round to the turbo.  If so, it'll be bolted the engine, probably on the far side.  If you can do the job without removing it, that's probably a better option.
