Heater blower removal/replacement

Featured Replies

Afternoon all

I am needing to remove & replace the blower motor on my 56 plate Fusion. All the you tube stuff says it is located in the glove comp but i'm not so sure!! Can anyone help me locate it and let me know how big a job it is to remove the old unit and replace with a new one?? The attached pic is the model of centre consule on the car

Many thanks for your time.

Hi,

It should be the same as Mk6 Fiesta.  Need to remove the glovebox and the fusebox for access.  Then there's a big awkward cover over the blower motor.  Then the motor itself is awkward to manoeuvre out as well.  It's not actually difficult, but does require time & patience.

Just a quick check. Are you replacing the motor because it doesn't work, or because it only works on speed 4 ?
