2021 Mk4 1.5 Ecoblue Service Interval

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

Looking for some advice regarding the service interval on a MK4 1.5 Ecoblue.

I got the car at 18000 miles last August. The dealer (Arbury Peugeot in Bromsgrove - do not deal with them as they are next to useless) did an oil and filter change as part of the sale but they didn't reset the service indicator. I managed to reset this myself a few days later.

Since then I have done roughly 4000 miles, currently sitting at 22338, but it is also telling me that my oil life is down to 28% already and that I am due the next service in roughly 300 miles. This does not seem right to me at all, I have usually got oil changed in my cars around 8-10k. Also, the app is telling me to get the 36k mile service done at a tidy price of £540, which is ludicrous in my eyes.

So, do I really need to get this service done and does the oil need changing after only 4000 miles?
