A popular car centre misplaced my engine cover for my 1.6l petrol mk2.5 focus.  It wasn't the volvo one.  The car centre offered to refund me as long as I buy one that fits.  Ford told me and told the car centre my focus didnt come with one but it did have one.  I've only got one picture and only can see part of the engine cover.  Any ideas which one it is from the picture.  I was thinking it was one for 1.8l.  The famous car repair centre will not refund me if it dosnt fit my car's engine and ford will not accept returns because my car model dosnt have one, so really important i buy the same one as picture. I remember it had duartec written on it.

You don't really need it, that's why TVM costed it out

I've only seen them on 1.6 diesels and then only on a hit and miss (sorry!) basis.

Found an image of a 1.8 cover if that's what you think you had:

My engine is in great condition because of that engine cover.  Washer jets have tendency to leak water into the spark plugs and I like keeping my car for ages and maintain so need cover.

1.8l is in my mind but read past threads where folks say dosnt fit.

I might go for small volvo one to be safe.  Volvo fitted one to their 1.6 petrol sigma engine. It doesn't cover engine bay as far out as 1.8l one or one I had.  I just wish I took full pic of it. O well.

I was hoping someone on forum will recognise bottom left hand corner of the engine cover in the pic I posted.

so need cover.

If the engineering team say you don't need it, it get's taken off

Did it say Ford on it?  That doesn't really look like a Ford shaped cover.  The only one I can think of with a chamfered edge is the 1.6 EcoBoost but the right hand side is the wrong shape for that.

There is an aftermarket cover available for the 1.6 Ti-VCT.  Though even on Ali-Express it costs £50.  It may not fit the non-Ti engine either.  I can't work out which yours is from that picture.

Yes it had ford on it, I'm been looking at lots of pics trying to match bottom left hand corner.  Ford was less visible than duratec.  1st owner to 2014 seems like they knew what they were doing it fitted perfectly  definitely had duartec because i didn't know what that meant when I saw the wording.  Mines not vct version of sigma engine it has holes. It is same engine as volvo s40s. If I can't find it by next week, think i will go with volvo small cover  and advise the big company who lost my car s engine cover.

Sorry meant bottom right hand corner of engine cover, not left

Have you had a look on ebay, or tried scrap yards near you?
