Ford Focus 2015 SE 1.0L Manual Help

Featured Replies

Hi guys was wondering if you guys could help me figure out by the sound of my eco boost engine.

bought this car used for really cheap knowing it probably had wet belt issues. It had 160k miles on it. I took it apart replaced the wet belt. Inspected cams and plugs. Oil pump was of course full of rubber bits

had some glittery specs in oil but no big shavings, all check engine codes disappeared and oil light went away after the diy job. Seems to run fine

only problem is the sound, engine sounds off to me. Anyone know what this sound could be. I’ve compared it with other videos of eco boost engines I found on YouTube but it sounds off. Attached is the sound

If the oil pick up strainer was blocked then expect there to be oil starvation damage starting at the rear of the top of the engine and number 3 piston, rod and crank, which will work it's way forwards

Vacuum pump and turbo would've been starved too
