CarPlay intermittently not working.

Hey all.

I have a 2020 fiesta , had an issue with the CarPlay when I first got it. After months of back and forth with dealer/head office they got it sorted.

2 years in, I’m now having issues with the CarPlay intermittently working or not. The USB points are fine as they’re still charging the device.

im using a genuine new Apple charger cable, although I’ve had to buy a usb adapter as the cars usb points are the old ones. 
 

does this likely need a software upgrade? If so does it have to go directly to Ford?
