I have a Ford Fiesta Active 2018 The information display keeps on showing Fuel Level Low 200 miles to empty whilst driving. The fuel tank is full and the gauge is working and shows full.

The car also chimes which is annoying. Anyone any ideas as to the problem?

You could try disconnecting the Battery for half an hour, it might not get rid of the problem but will cost you nothing to try.

This is going to be a difficult one to track down. It could be an intermittent fault with the fuel sender (in the tank), it could be a loose or corroded connector somewhere between the fuel sender and the instrument cluster, it could be a fault with the instrument cluster.

This may be one of those cases where you need to wait (and put up with it) until the fault becomes more permanent. The only other option is to load the parts cannon (LOADS of money !!) and start replacing things in the hope that something fixes the fault.

Checking connectors before replacing parts sounds like a cheap option, but many are nearly impossible to reach without taking lots of things apart first.
