2015 Focus ST Driver Power seat right side wont move

Featured Replies

My Focus ST is what they call a Euro version of the 2015 Focus ST but I'm in US and driver side is on the left side of the car.  Recently the driver side power seat just stopped working all of a sudden.  The left side tries to move but the right side won't budge.  This results in the left side moving a bit forward or back and the seat is then at a 20 - 30 degree angle.

My son and I have both looked under the seat with lights as best we could and there doesn't appear to be any kind of obstruction lying jamming seat slide rail.  The right side is just completely stuck.  It doesn't give at all when trying to move the seat.  We've tried pushing up and down to possibly work it loose, pushing from behind and from the front of the seat to maybe break it loose, but no luck.

I'm hoping someone may know the probable cause of this as I'm disabled so any DIY work is very difficult for me.  My hope is someone may point me to the probable fix before I go out and attempt a bunch of things that aren't the cause!

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated and I thank you all very much in advance!

Jay

Broken wires under the seat/on floor would be the first check.

Faulty switches?

Does the BCM control seat movement or door modules?

Does anyone know?
