Installing DLRs

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I want to install daylight running lights on a 12 focus. Can anyone suggest a way to install them via a fuse or relay. I saw DLR relays on a couple of websites but I'm not sure how good they would be.

Thanks in advance

They come with three connections

1: Main 12v ignition on feed to make them bright

2: Must be connected to side light circuit so they go dim when you turn your lights on

3: Earth

Thank you can you recommend a relay that does this I'm wary of the tenner Chinese relay

I doubt LEDs would need a relay TBF

Don't they have to dim when you put the sides on and stay on after you lock the door? Will wiring into the sides cause a problem with the lights eg bulb warning. I'm not big on wires but the missus decided she would like DLRs

See my original response, they have three wires
