P7066 Error 2014 S-Max 2.0L Automatic

Featured Replies

Hi, I jet washed my car (outside) at the weekend then Monday morning came and it shows a P7066. I’ve cleared the code and it keeps coming back, but more frequently now.

Intermittently I also get u0415 (ABS control) and a transmission controller error, but not every time.

I’m assuming it’s to do with water ingress as it seems to coincidental, but I could be wrong.

Any thoughts on where to start or things to check?

Thanks

This site says it's a transmission fault (you list 2 codes for that area) and gives some guidance - does any of that make sense? (Forscan codes are usually more comprehensive and detailed):

Anything to do with transmission,IMHO the cheapest way to start is to change fluid and filter plus inspect filter for garbage (specially small plastic bits)?

Fluid & filter, e.g.:

Special process to drain and refill.

The ABS control is a separate issue and all codes may or not be due to water ingress and that would need further inspection of the modules and connectors and testing.

PCM is on my model, under passenger side wheelarch liner and had water leak teething problems with similar on C-MAX

I'm finding I'm becoming boring with my similar comments but I can only say what I would do given the symptoms?
