Upgrade injectors and turbo

Featured Replies

I got a 62' Mk7 zetec-s 1.6tdci and I've ordered an induction kit but I'm looking to get more out my engine, I've heard people put the focus turbo and injectors in my engine I'm just wondering what's the specifics to getting them?

Hi,

I think your engine will be the 8v version?  The Focus turbo & injector upgrade was for the older 16v version.

is there no other type of injectors that can be put in the 8v engine, I am just looking for some upgrades before I get a remap

The Focus 8v used the same injectors for 95bhp and 115bhp engines so I don't think they're a restriction.

The turbo is the main limitation with the Fiesta engine as it's just a conventional waste gate turbo.  Focus 115 used a 3rd generation VNT turbo.  Much kore efficient, much more controllable.

See I'm not experienced in engine mods and don't wanna blow up my engine 😂, especially with about 95k on the clock, but just looking for more power, is this a turbo I should be looking into?

The safest option is just to get a stage 1 remap without any other engine mods.

Replacing the turbo with a VNT would give the most power but it's not cheap or easy.

Well that's quite guttin, I was hoping to push a bit more than a standard stage 1 map out the car, not much more but bit more
