Ford focus service advice

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a ford focus 2020. I have some error codes lighting up the service warning light (o2 sensor). I live in SE13 area, can anyone recommend me a good garage to have a look at the car?

thanks!

I'd ask neighbours, friends or relatives first, then search for (example): "SE13 auto electrician" or "SE13 Garage" and pick one local to you. When you visit, get a clear estimate of what they propose to do and the cost at each stage (e.g. there may be an initial diagnostic charge then a cost to carry out their plan. You can only short circuit that by discussion and, for example if you say  "it's the O2 sensor, I want it changed" and they do that but it's a wiring fault then that would be down to you?)
If they start to change parts (at your cost of course) without testing to be certain or justifying what they are doing to be certain it will fix the problem then I'd find another?
It's a matter of building a trusted long term relationship?

Thank you Shearers for the advice! I was trying to see about other members experience in my area.. usually word of mouth works best.

Cheers
