High resistances on airbags

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 2015 Fiesta Titanium with 7 airbags. I don't have any airbag light on or anything like that, but I scanned the entire vehicle and found 65.53 ohms in all airbags except for the knee airbag. Does anyone know what could be happening?

It was just an ECU scan result. For some reason, all airbags are at 65.53 ohms.  What surprises me the most is that there is no airbag light on the dashboard (after turning on the engine, before it lights up, so it behaves normally). It was all by accident because I was scanning the vehicle for a blink error and ended up finding this.

thanks.

If they are all measuring exactly the same, and to the same hundredth of an ohm, I'd say it was a false result. Just ignore it.

Long shot, but an all-1's 16 bit binary register is 65536 in decimal so that might actually be what you're seeing.
