I have just replaced my wing mirror however I didn't think that if I got an older model it wouldn't fit. 

I didn't even think about the internal electrics, the pin on the new wing mirror is a 10 pin electric connector and my old one is 12 pin. 

I don't even know what the parts called to see if there's adaptor for 10 pin male? To 12 pin female? 

The image attached is the old 12 hole socket. 

Can anyone help?

    Hi,

    There isn't an adaptor.  The number of pins is not just about age but also about which features the mirror has.  (Powerfold, puddle lights, BLIS etc).  Sounds like you just have the wrong mirror for the car.

    While it irritates a few on here, wing mirror still yields a lot more results than door mirror on ebay.  Common usage beats correct usage.
