2008 Ford Fiesta Zetec (58 Plate) Missfiring

Featured Replies

Hi guys, recently gave my ford fiesta a service including new spark plugs, coil pack, leads, oil filter, oil change and air filter. It started misfiring heavily leaving no power/acceleration. I got told the ecu was the problem so bought a second hand ecu and got it coded back to the car and the issue is still there.

Has anyone got any idea what the problem is????

If the problem only started after changing those parts then it's probably one of them at fault.  My money would be on one of the leads.  Unbranded coil packs can be poor quality as well.

Are you sure you connected the HT leads to the new coil pack in the correct order?

Yeah I’m definitely certain they’re in the right order. Checking the plugs tomorrow and try to identify which cylinder is at fault. I’ll update tomorrow
