Sticking Clutch

Featured Replies

I have just bought a Ford Focus Mk3 diesel from Arnold Clark and a couple hours after taking the car away the clutch stuck to the floor, this has continued periodically over past few days.

Is booked in on Thursday for them to look at it, just wondering if anyone has had this issue and what they done to resolve it.

The car has done 32k miles

Are you thinking of telling the AC mechanic how to do their job ? 🤔

He probably just wants to check he doesn't get bullsh*tted.

From what I remember reading on here this is a fairly common problem. One of the fleet cars that my daughter drives has suffered from it. I don't remember anyone ever finding a definitive cause, though.

They'll probably change the master cylinder first.  Then find it still does it so they'll move on to the 3 piece clutch kit afterwards.

Ultimately it is quite difficult to determine exactly which one is at fault so I don't blame them for starting with the cheapest option.
