Help finding compatible brake light switch for focus mk4.

So i found the part on the ford shop website.

It says it's compatible when i put my license plate in, can i trust the ford shop website here? As the product name mentions ford transit mustang. but i'm assuming the part is reused for other models aswell?

Also the other thing it's really cheap, third party options are a bit more pricey so wasn't sure if this was the correct part.

    The same switch will be used on multiple vehicles, but you can't trust the reg checker on that website.  Best option is to look at the switch on your car to confirm before ordering.

    Also, it isn't that cheap when you add the £4 postage.  You can save the postage by ordering from Fords ebay site instead.

    Also had a garage quote me £60 for the brake light switch part excluding labour cost 😑. I get it they need to make a profit on it, but that is just ridiculousl. Dude tried to argue it was a quality part, well it damn well better made from solid gold if I am paying that much.
