Steering wheel, clutch, gear to handbrake locks effective?

Hi, I’m in 2 minds to buy a fiesta ST 3 2017 plate. If I buy steering wheel lock, plus steering wheel to clutch lock, gear stick to hand brake lock and a couple of tyre clamps. Would that reduce the risk of theft although I’m not dumb theifs will find a way. Really stressed. Should I just buy another banger..? Help!

    There are plenty of newer cars that don't get stolen.  It doesn't have to be another banger.  But if you're concerned about theft, buying one of Britain's most stolen model doesn't seem like a brilliant idea.

    Hi Tina, welcome.

    When you look at the list of top 10 most stolen cars, it's virtually a list of the top 10 most popular cars over the last decade or so.There are lots about so more get stolen.

    Also there's a larger market for used parts on the likes of Ebay, not all of them obtained legitimately unfortunately.

    As you say, if they really want it, they'll have it but that battery of locks might make them go for an easier target. I'm sure someone will be along shortly with a recommendation for Disklok also.😀

    Also your neighbourhood can be a factor - Yorkshire's a big place with good and bad spots. (I once had my new garden hedge stolen - they literally dug out the plants in the middle of the night!).
