Am aware of the minefield tailgate water Ingress can be. Is there a one stop resource with all the fixes listed one by one. My jalopy started smelling, on investigation rear seat passenger side had a wet spot, cleared the boot and there was evidence of ingress in the wheel well been going a while as lots of rust signs and the spare and tools. My first port of call will be the spoiler and grab handle.

I fixed a leak many years back which was coming through the sealer in the rear left corner of the boot, really hard to see and not a surprise that manually applied sealer hadn’t don’t the job properly as it’d be a blind fit to apply it. 
 

 

Had to do the usual of drying everything out first then applying a hosepipe to see where the water was coming in etc

If you’re thinking it’s leaking in from the tailgate you could take the inner trim panel off and put some sponges in there then check them after a couple of days of rain or after giving it the hosepipe treatment too

was hoping theres a tutorial encompassing all posibilities with pics as i sometimes struggle with applying the written word. Its an age thing and its getting worse, i've even had the early dementia test etc.
