Loud bang then non start

Featured Replies

i was taking a corner and once straightened up i heard a stupidly loud bang, when i parked up i turned my car off, then when i went to switch it back on there was nothing, id turn the key and nothing would happen, i left it a couple minutes and it turned on again, does anyone have any kind of idea what this may be?

Does it run & drive ok now?

I was going to suggest battery blown or alternator belt snapped but if it's all good now then it can't be either of those.

Suspension springs and drop links tend to snap on corners if not potholes, though neither of those would affect starting.

yeah mate was a bit of a rough start first time, but after that its turned over sound every time, any ideas what it may be? its such a strange issue

Only thing I can think is that part of the suspension did break and the shock of that triggered the fuel cut-off as if it was a crash.

I'd definitely be checking springs and drop links myself.
