hi everyone i have a ford focus mk1 1999 1.6 zetec i bought it with the knowledge that the fob wasnt working i assumed it probaly ran out of battery, so i replaced the battery and it still isnt working also the fob buttons dont click like they should. if there is a cheap sollution to this i will try it or i was thinking of installing a universal central locking kit. any help would be appreciated.

btw i have searched the internet but cant really find what im after. thank you



There are plenty forums covering this topic, just got to know where to look. Honest John, The RAC, focusowners.com and on here. Long story short check fuse 63 at rear of fuse box (inside).

TFirst thing to do is take your key to a good locksmith. He can tell you if the remote is send out a signal.
