Dayco dont appear to supply new bolts for the idler or tensioner pulleys for my 1.5tdci XWDB engine kit. Im NOT fitting Gates, although they do supply new bolts i their kit. Anyone know where i can source those botls please ? Ive had a look and cant find any bolt kit i can buy. Cheers, Del

What is/was wrong with Gates?

Both are OEM quality suppliers?

Nothing wrong with the belts, however my son fitted a full Gates kit a few weeks ago to a mondeo, the tensioner failed, he was lucky it was caught in time. Replaced the tensioner and its been fine since. Our local motor factor will not supply Gates kits as they have had so many failures with tensioners that its not worth it. My son is a mechanic BTW. So Dayco it is for me. Also OEM supplier to Ford

That is useful to know. The timing belt on my Mk2 is due for replacement.
