ALLOY

Featured Replies

Hello all, my alloy has cracked and buckled 😞 looking online i cant seem to find the same alloy, only want to buy one, not a whole set haha! Can anyone point me in the right direction of what I should be searching for and where I should search for it. Thank you.

Most people selling used alloys will sell as a set of 4.  What would they do with the remaining 3 otherwise?

You could buy a brand new one but that's likely to be several hundred pounds.

Is there any chance of getting yours repaired for a reasonable cost?

If not, all you can really do is keep looking at breakers yards in the hope that some have smashed a wheel in a crash so no longer have a full set to sell.

I've had individual wheels off EBay in the past so it's worth keeping an eye open there if you aren't already doing so. There are listings from trade sellers who specialise in used wheels as well as individuals.

I would definitely try this option, many specialist 'alloy wheel' refurbishers can do an excellent job repairing wheels, had it done many times myself...

The eBay options are good for a laugh.

Scruffy with a ditch finder £175:

Lightly toasted £182:

Banana shaped £148:

Full used set (fit the best and sell the rest?) £260:

Brand New £295:

For reference, I used search terms: Focus 18 alloy, Focus ST Line alloy and Focus Y Spoke 18.  Nothing complicated.

Hmm. Sounds like a pretty poor selection at the mo, then!
