2007 Fiesta handbrake lamp goes on and off while driving

Featured Replies

When driving the handbrake lamp will come on then turn off after a little bit then come on again. There's no pattern or timing to it, it just happens randomly but consistantly every time the car is driven. I've take the handbrake cover off and checked the switch by pushign it down with my finger and the hand brake lamp quickly turns off so I feel confident the switch is fine. I read it might be linked to brake fluid level but the level seems fine and it only seems a small reservoir. Any other ideas?

Which is also Brake fault warning.

See Page 59 of the Fiesta Owners Handbook for details:

Is the hand brake lever loose?  Worth checking that it's not moving whilst driving as that will trigger the light too.
