P1169 fault code question

Featured Replies

So I recently changed the frp sensor on my focus mk3 titanium x 2.0 tdci. It's the duratorq engine. Was having the dreaded engine malfunction service now fault. Basically goes in to limp mode upon heavy acceleration, still had the same issue once I changed it. For sanity sake I changed the old one back and the problem was even worse, could barely drive the car. Checked the numbers on the sensor and they were totally different.

I've now ordered another with the same part number, because I'm impatient do you guys think this could be the issue due to being the wrong sensor? Or are they basically just the same parts and I'm stupid 🤣.

Fault code is p1169 fuel rail pressure sensor in range but high. Additional symptom: signal invalid.

When I put the old frp sensor there's about 8 codes instead of the 1.

9663305480 original part number

9681909680 the new one.
