ST dash pod.

Featured Replies

Anyone fitted an ST/RS dash top pod of guages. Is the panel on top of my Tit X the same shape, looks like it from what i can see. Would the plugs be likely to be there and which module would need to be changed to make em work. If they do that is.Any other mods needed do you know ?

That is not going to work.

Apart from the wiring that will certainly be not present there will also be no CANbus communication that is required for the ST/RS gauge pod to work.

As far as I am aware (apart from the ST/RS) the 1.6 ECOboost is the only type of engine that has part (not all) of the required CANbus messages present on the CANbus network. All other engine types do not have any of the required CANbus messages present on the CANbus network.

Daft though it seems, I have seen threads in various places where folk have fitted the instrument pod - even though it doesn't work - because it looks impressive!

Oh no, thats something id never do, if i fit something it has to work 100% otherwise your wasting your time.

If you want functioning gauge pods it may be possible to adapt the RS/ST pod housing to take aftermarket gauges.

Usually involves plumbing in sensors yourself plus wiring from the engine bay into the cabin etc
