1.5 182PS engine

Featured Replies

I am changing my Focus Nov 2019 registered on 31000 miles have only been offered 1.0 2023/ 2024 models now which will not be my real replacement choice,as I would like the same again (under 2 years old, mileage under 10000 petrol manual).Has this engine been STOPPED though????(Will I find one??)1.0 125PS seems gutless--will it be? The present one is the best Focus I've ever had.Started with 1.8 ghia saloon then 1600 estate then 1800 hatch and also 1600 hatch going through the years

Hi Stephen, welcome.

Yes, the 1.5 petrol was discontinued some years back, when the facelift (Mk 4.5) version was launched for the 2022 model year. No, you won't find a new or nearly new one - only available used. Other than the 2.3 ST the most powerful petrol version is the 1.0 155ps which is now auto only.**

Production ends shortly so if you do want any new Focus, don't hang about.

As your current car is pretty low mileage, and you obviously like it, might be worth hanging on to it, particularly if you look at the long threads on here about issues with the Mk 4.5 facelift.

(** Early facelifts were available with the 155ps and manual for a while, so you might find one of those.)
