Recently purchased this model and noted Navigation on the instrument cluster not working.  This model sat/nav was NOT enabled and I wish to upgrade to working sat/nav.  Anybody in the Birmingham area know how to enable it?  Various videos on Youtube show how too using OBD Module.  Had contemplated doing it myself, but aged 77 now, it got confusing half way through.  I have the latest SD card maps, but doesnt work as vehicle is not upgraded.........my Ford is Sync 2 version 3.8.5

I understand your caution about doing it yourself, but if you watch enough YouTube videos and just hook up FORScan with out pressing 'Save' you'll be able to see how you get on.

If you do decide to give it a ago then before you make any changes, be sure to save the cars profile file 'AsBuilt' and then worse case you can always default the car back to the way it was.

Sadly we can't offer any actual help on the subject since the FOC administrator has prohibited such talk.

Many thanks for your advice......I used to do all my own repairs years ago, but decided a few years ago as age progressed to let more nimble fingers and brains do it for me.  One scottish girl on Youtube did the conversion in under an hour using OBDGenie but contacting the manufacturer, they no longer do it for vehicles outside the USA.............I was hoping somebody with the software and knowledge could pop around and do it for me, they would be rewarded........Have contacted local car audio specialists close to me but I get the impression they lack the knowledge as they mainly specialise in Sync 3..........the electrician in particular asked me to take the youtube video with me so they could watch it............doesnt inspire confidence does it?   Well thanks for the heads up......I will just make do with google maps.
