Ford Focus 2006 1.8 Diesel - immobiliser

Featured Replies

When driving normal conditions, my car lost power & cut out, I tried to start it again but the immobiliser light started flashing rapidly. The light code came up as 1 then 6.

I have taken out the instrument cluster and had it professionally inspected & repaired the solder on the plug pins, this didn’t resolve the issue, I’ve removed the battery box checking the earth leads etc for bad connections, still not working, the immobiliser light flashes rapidly but intermittently when turning the ignition key from position 2 to start the digital display will display the mileage and trip and crank over other times the display on position 2 will see the mileage but when turning to the start position the display shows dashes and the car won’t crank over.

i have also tried the key in the lock to try get out of immobiliser mode, also left the ignition on for 30 minutes, still nothing?

Can anyone please give me some other ideas please.
