All electrical faults present but go away when switch off

Featured Replies

Hello unsure where to post this but my ford focus 2018 Tdci every time in the morning when I first switch it on displays the ABS, traction control, camera system, inter lights don’t switch off when door close, and hill start assist all light up as faulty. However when I restart the engine they all go away? But while driving to work this mourning I had everything display including engine light and my speed gauge stopped working. Any ideas?

Welcome!

As this isn't a guide, I think it should go in Ford Focus Club and a new topic started (this one could then be deleted - unsure if you, or Mods would do that)

To me, it looks like the lights (indicating fault codes will be present and may need reading) are on, but clear when you switch off and restart but now come on when running?
Initially, without the coming on when running, I'd be checking battery (low voltage when you start but may clear when it starts again as alternator will be charging for a short time)

Without further information, that's all I can say and I'd be reading codes with the Famous Forscan and lead (details if you need them)

I'd start by posting again in the Focus forum and not in the Guides section.

Check your battery voltage, and get the DTC's read using FORScan.

Speedo has been re-calibrated for Wales.
