Ecu problem

Hello I've got a ford focus 1.8tdci 09 plate my car has gone into limp mode rough idling can't get more than 200 revs took it to mechanic plugged it in code come up p0203 tested the injector and circuit (all fine) he said it is an ecu issue is it worth me sending it off and getting it repaired/reprogrammed

This model and year had a dodgy batch of injectors (you can look this up) I had to replace all 4 of mine. So I would tend to suspect injectors not ECU although I know you said injectors were tested. Bit more detail on symptoms would be useful e.g. is limp mode straight away or after driving a bit.

Edit: for a car of this age, and cost of injectors, need to consider if worth spending the money on it. Mine was done when car was about 6 years old, not 16...

I still have the same model, Mk2.5, 2009, 1.8 tdci but had no problems with injectors. Did a fuel filter change every 2nd year regardless of the mileage, used STP diesel injector cleaner once a year.

Maybe you should try the same prior to spending big on injector replacement.
