Hello all, I've got a MK3 2012 (62 plate) Focus Titanium X and recently installed a dash cam, but noticed after locking the car the dash cam was still on. Can someone confirm if this particular 12v socket is permanently live on this model of Focus, or if it's on a timer as I don't want to drain the battery!

    I have a Mk2 Focus, and the standard 12v socket is permanently live, a most stupid design which they may have carried over to the Mk3. To compensate, I had installed a proper 12v socket which is controlled to the ignition on/off...

    Yes the Mk3 is permanently live.

    But..... on some Mk3 it seems that it turns off 20 minutes after locking the doors.

    Now according to a guy called Andy, it is possible to alter the operation of the socket by changing the settings using FORScan, which would be very useful if true. I know it can be done for some Mondeo's but as of now, I just don't know about the Focus.
