Replacement Banjo bolt needed.

Featured Replies

I appear to have overtightened the union bolt on the oil feed to the turbo at the oil filter housing end and have snapped it.

With the help of screw extractor I got the thread out of the housing but am now in need of a replacement banjo bolt.

I’ve been looking on-line for hours with no luck.

I’d imagine I’d get one at ford for an extortionate fee but can anyone point me in the right direction of an alternative source please.

If anyone is scrapping theirs and has the part available that would suffice.

pic attached.

It’s for a Mk2 1.8 TDCI.

Thanks.

Thanks for the tip. Like I said I’ve spent plenty of time looking online with no luck.

If you’re aware of any particular part of google I may have missed I’d appreciate your input.

What you first need is to know the Ford finis code for the part, and then searching will be easier and more importantly more acurate.

Use this site https://catalogs.ssg.asia/ford/?lang=en   and put your vehicle VIN number in. Search the parts until you find the banjo bolt and get the 'finis' part number. After that you should find it from the likes of Euro Car Parts or any of the automotive Factors.

Thanks. I’ve been trying to find a site thats gives me the part numbers.

Much obliged.

No luck with the finis code on the banjo bolt.

The finis code relates only to the whole pipe including the bolts at either end.

Hopefully I won’t have to buy the whole pipe just for a bolt.

Then unfortunately that means that Ford only sell it as a complete assembly.
