Focus ST MK4.5 - Drive Modes Forscan

Featured Replies

Hello,

Does anyone know if it’s possible to add/change the available drive modes on the MK4.5? Currently I have normal, sport, race track and slippery. I was surprised there is no ‘eco’ mode and wondered if this could be added via ForScan as I’ve seen it was possible on older gen Fords.

Ive already had a Quick Look into the APIM & ABS modules but not finding any options to change available drive modes.

Appreciate any help 🙂

Why did you buy an ST if you want an Eco mode?

Normal is the most Eco mode and the one I use for commuting.

Anticipation and correct tyre pressures will do much more for your mpg than an eco mode would.

I'm surprised that anyone would buy an ST and then want to be able to drive it in 'Eco' mode.

As said on here many times, Eco modes generally do nothing you can't achieve yourself with normal driving skills.

Don't know about the current Focus, but Normal in the Fiesta ST is fine for, well, "normal" economical driving. Mine does have "Eco". Only tried it once out of curiosity, but it makes the car very unresponsive.
