Also it’s a 1084cc, they said it’s a 1.1 duratec engine.

Ah, so that's their get out. Its basically an Ecoboost without the turbo and it's not 1.0. And, presumably, not manufactured before 2019, though we never understood that caveat as 1.0 wet belt Ecoboosts were still manufactured after that date.

As you can see there was a theory that it might be less susceptible to failure than the turbo version, but as also mentioned that could simply reflect the limited sales compared to the 1.0 Ecoboost.
