So about a month ago my drivers side powerfold mirror decided to pretty much stop working… Lock the car and it either wouldn’t fold or just go half way… 

Hoping it was just the mirror that had gone faulty so I’ve changed the mirror and now nothing on that mirror is working, it was a second hand one so maybe I’m just unlucky and cheaply bought a broken mirror… But when I looked at the male pins the mirror that was on the car had 8 pins the second hand one has 6 pins… 

Am I just being an idiot and not realising that it needs the 8 pins to work or have I got a different problem on my hands?

    You have bought a non-power fold mirror. So don't expect it to work.

    The folding feature doesn’t bother me, the indicator or being able to move the glass with the switch isn’t working either

    It doesn't work because the wiring configuration of the non-power fold mirror is completely different to that of the power fold version.

    You need the correct mirror for your model, or it's a rewire job.

    I thought that would be the case, suppose it’s my own fault for being a second hand one on the cheap 😂
