Engine oil leak? MK2 1.6L Petrol

Featured Replies

So my MOT recently listed 'oil leak' as an advisory. I asked the garage what it was and they said driver side of engine. They said it's a small leak nothing to worry about.

This was about a month ago. I've been monitoring my engine oil level and coolant level, all fine so far. Power Steering fluid seems fine after I topped it up.

But I've looked under the car and there's definitely oil on the underside of the engine.

Any ideas what this could be?

Will take to another garage for diagnostic if I can't find the fault myself, but I'd rather find and fix it at home if possible.

How bad is the leak? Photo?

cam cover - just did mine robbers wanted 18 quid for it - on fleabay for 11 - but they had in stock 2 miles from my home and there’s more than one type...
