B1B58:11-2F - Rear Sensors Power Circuit

Featured Replies

My partners 2013 Focus has been giving her dash-errors for a couple of years, I've read and done smaller tests when the weather has been decent but haven't gotten anywhere.

B1B58:11-2F, one code and only one.
My actions have been as follows:

Checked the fuses.

Bought another sensor, tested it on all 4 positions, no changes in the fault.

Finally tore off the rear bumper and checked the harness, all good, measured OK and looked way better than I expected.

Gonna loop back and look at everything again, next step would be measuring at the Parking Aid Module. How common is it for the PAM to be the issue?
No moisture in the boot, all wires look fine, connectors to. Should be able to get a used one for less than 50£‎, is it worth a try?

Bought another used Parking Aid Module, plugged it in and the original short to ground fault disappeared.

Got a sensor specific fault instead, left outer sensor fault. Changed it as well and now system is back in order.

Lot of time spend trying different things here, when the easiest thing to change was the PAM, and it was half the source.
