Sync4/Carplay after last update

hi, i own a ford focus mk4.5 with sync 4. after the last update of the infotainment system the maps on carplay are all jerky and the position has a delay of 5/10 seconds. i own an iphone 16 pro max with ios 18.4. does anyone have this problem? how did you solve it?

    Try resetting the Sync back to factory and deleting the car from the phone and starting again

    There has been an update to carplay in ios 18.4, but I haven't noticed the difference.

    The issue is not with Sync as such, but with the phone.

    Ive had similar issues.

    my main root cause was a battery under 20% capacity left and the wireless car charger heating the phone up while charging.

    iOS 18 isn’t great in car play and has been buggy.

     

    couple of things to try as well. Remove the phone from the car, delete Ford focus from Apple car play. Reset the phone up again as a new device to the car, master reset sync 4 and the rejoin the phone.
